For the third year, the Center for Interfaith Cooperation is proud to join with the Indiana Christian Leadership Conference to present an interfaith celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday. This is the 49th year that St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church is hosting MLK Day festivities, which makes it the oldest continuously running celebration in the country.

What can you expect at the celebration? Prayers from many religious traditions. Short speeches by dignitaries, including members of Congress and the mayor. Performance by a mass gospel choir (remember, you can join the choir!). A keynote speech by the ever-inspiring Dr. E.G. Shields, Jr., Midwest VP for the Progressive National Baptist Convention.

Don’t miss it!
