CIC, the Burmese American Community Institute, Indy Urban Acres, and the Interfaith Coalition for Mental Health invite everyone for a day of service and celebration on World Refugee Day, June 20. Grow food and community at the 7th Annual World Refugee Day of Service and Celebration. Outdoor activities include – organic gardening, celebratory lunch, ‘Walk-a-Mile in Refugee Shoes’, and a community art activity.
That’s not the only way to observe World Refugee Day. Enjoy a multicultural breakfast at Catholic Charities. Reggae with Exodus. Learn about Congolese and Rwandan culture with the Peace Center for Forgiveness and Reconciliation. We say: do it all!
