The Interfaith Youth Ambassadors have launched
The new cohort of Interfaith Youth Ambassadors met or the first time at the Interchurch Center February 1. 23 students from five colleges and high schools, shared their beliefs, hopes, and goals.
The Interfaith Youth Ambassador Program is a program administered by the Center for Interfaith Cooperation (CIC) in collaboration with Butler University’s Desmond Tutu Peace Lab. Youth from local high schools and universities can apply through their school, congregation, or community center to learn about other faith communities and converse with a diverse group of other young people about social, cultural, and political issues that are important to them.
The ambassadors will be touring the following places: The Hindu Temple of Central Indiana, Chua An Lac, Masjid Al Fajr, St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, and more. Follow the ambassadors’ journey on Instagram: @indycic.
The Sacred Spaces Tours are open to all. After the tour, the Interfaith Youth Ambassadors will have a closed discussion of what they lerned and still want to know.

On April 12th, 2019 from 4:30-6:00 PM in the Indiana Interchurch Center, the Center for Interfaith Cooperation will host the Interfaith Youth Forum. Ambassadors will present what they have learned to the public, and the public will ask questions of the ambassadors in a reverse-town hall style forum. We hope you can join us!
Upon completion of the program, they will present their experiences, reflections, and ideas for the future at the Interfaith Youth Forum. They will then receive a certificate from CIC, certifying them as an Interfaith Youth Ambassador.
