Masjid Al Mumineen fundraiser
One of the least prepossessing places of worship in Central Indiana also happens to be one of the most important. Masjid Al Mumineenon the northeastside of Indianapolis may not look impressive, but it makes an enormous difference in its neighborhood. Every week trained mental health professionals, social workers, and mental health experts provide services to Muslims and non-Muslims. For recent immigrants from Yemen or Somalia, this is critical. For people in the neighborhood, the Masjid’s food pantry can be the difference between making it and not.
We all have an opportunity to be part of Masjid Al Munimeen’s vital mission. On Saturday, February 23, Masjid Al Mumineen will hold their annual fundraiser at the Indiana Interchurch Center (1100 W. 42nd St.) Everyone is welcome to attend. Enjoy an excellent dinner of soul food and Middle East cuisine. Hear the noted speaker Gyasi McKenzie talk about Islam and social responsibility.
