KP on Notre Dame’s fire

This comes from our good friend and Brother, KP Singh.

I have seen the heartbreaking devastating and loss of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. It am unable to express my grief over this soul-shattering loss to the world of faiths, timeless arts, divinely-inspired architecture, and to the human spirit.

I cannot imagine the magnitude of the devastation to the people of the world that have admired its beauty, prayed at the majestic Cathedral, and carried home the blessing of seeing something so beautiful and leaving behind their prayers to add to the spirit and soul of this sacred edifice to faith and veneration of the Highest.

I remember being there in 1985 and again in 2010 and was struck with awe to see the Notre Dame Cathedral as a priceless treasure that inspired; witnessed its indescribable Majesty that it radiated; and reflected on the billions of people of all faiths, cultures, and nationalities that visited this monument to faith and made a pilgrimage to this hallowed place over the past over 800 years.

My deepest condolence to the people of France, to the Christian world, and to all who cherish the beauty of human creativity, imaginations, and its exalted place in our hearts and spirit. I am saddened and unable to fathom this loss and praying that we do everything to preserve and protect such heritage that belongs to the ages and connects us with the journey of our civilization in most sacred sense of that term.
