Center for Interfaith Cooperation & Watch Club Youth Summer Camp
Youth Summer Camp runs for two sessions in 2019, from July 22-26 and July 29-August 2 at the Indiana Interchurch Center. Students, ages 7-12, will engage in a variety of fun and educational activities with facilitators from Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Iraq, Israel, Rwanda, Sudan, and Japan. We will also visit the Children’s Museum, 100 Acres Woods Art Park, go swimming, fishing, and take nature exploration hikes.
Youth Summer Camp for students ages 7-12 years
Indiana Interchurch Center, 1100 West 42nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208 (We are located on the north east corner of 42nd Street and Michigan Road)
Two sessions: Monday July 22 through Friday July 26 and Monday July 29 through Friday Aug. 2, 2019. Activities will be scheduled from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, before and after care will be available from 8:00-9:00 am and 4:00-5:00 pm for an additional $10.
$150 per student for the full week – $25 discount for additional children. $40 for individual days.
Youth Camp is led by Keith and Brenda Turner who have combined experience of over 20 years in positive youth development programs. Keith and Brenda will be assisted by trained camp counselors and a staff who will introduce a different international theme each day. During the week students will learn simple greetings and how to write their name in different languages. They will also learn basic cultural, geographic and demographic information about many of the countries introduced. In addition, students will visit the Children’s Museum, go swimming, fishing and engage in other activities that will include arts & crafts projects and nature hikes. Snacks that complement the international theme will be provided each day however students must bring their own lunches.
