Haitian Heritage Month in Indiana kicks off on Sunday May 12th, 2019, with the UNITY LUNCHEON. Special proclamations from the office of Mayor Joe Hogsett and from the office of Congressman Andre Carson will recognize the month of May as Haitian Heritage Month.
We are also delighted to welcome for the first time to Indianapolis, newly appointed Ambassador of Haiti to the United States, Ambassador Hervé Denis and members of the Haitian Embassy in Washington Dc. Also attending, Consul General to the mid-west, Youri Emmanuel.The Unity Luncheon is an opening reception, showcasing Haitian cuisine from Master Chef Ronny Etienne, live gospel music, and performances from various religious congregations in the Haitian Community.
