We’ve got weddings at the Indy Festival of Faiths
Wedding / Cultural showcases take place at the center fountain
2:10 Jewish ceremony Witness and celebrate the marriage of an already-married couple. You will learn about the marriage canopy (chuppah), the marriage contract (ketubah), special blessings and traditions, and of course, we’ll all yell “Mazal Tov!” when the groom steps on the glass!
3:30 Sikh ceremony The groom enters on a white horse leading a singing and dancing procession (baraat). The bride and groom’s families greet each other in a ceremony called a milni (merger), symbolizing the union of the two clans. The groom’s costume as well as singer Anita Lerche’s were created by Preet Boutique.Tags: Festival of Faiths, Sikhs
