Tickets to hear the Dalai Lama available April 29
On Saturday, June 25, 2016, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give a public talk at 12:30 PM EST at Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. The program is expected to draw thousands of attendees from around the world. On his last visit to Indianapolis in May 2010, over 10,000 individuals came to hear His Holiness speak at Conseco Fieldhouse (now Bankers Life Fieldhouse), making it the largest interfaith gathering ever to occur in the city. In 2010, his talk helped to bring awareness to the Interfaith Hunger Initiative, and helped reach its goal of bringing hundreds of thousands of meals to people in need.
Three organizations are coming together to host His Holiness’ visit: the Indiana Buddhist Center (IBC), the Center for Interfaith Cooperation (CIC), and Compassionate Indy. These organizations have come together to further the work of His Holiness and to inspire the city of Indianapolis to go forward from June 25 committed to embracing compassion and bringing about peace.
Tickets for the public talk will be available April 29. Tickets for the reserved seating event are $35. Students and children 2 and over are $25.
