ODAD Ribbon Day
1100 W 42nd St
Indianapolis, IN 46208
Beginning in 2018, Overdose Lifeline began a campaign to raise the Indianapolis community’s awareness of the true impact that opioid overdose has around the nation by lining the lawn of the Interchurch Center with ribbons. Those ribbons represent the number of lives that are lost daily to overdose, some of them bearing the name of a Hoosier who lost their own battle with substance use disorder.
We welcome those in the community who have lost a loved one to join us for this event to lay a ribbon in honor of their life. Those who have not laid a ribbon before are welcomed to sign a name to the ribbon they lay, while others will be given their previous ribbon to put up.
The ribbons will remain on display in the lawn through the week leading up to the International Overdose Awareness Day, August 31st.
