Spiritual Practices Workshop
615 W 43rd St
Indianapolis, IN 46208
When: Starts Friday, October 4th, 6pm-8pm, then meets every other Friday
Where: UUI Social Hall and Sanctuary
What: This is a group for people to learn about different spiritual practices, share food and fellowship, and support each other in their ongoing spiritual practice.
Each evening will begin with a brief shared meal. UUI will provide a vegetarian main course and coffee/tea. People are invited to bring side dishes and desserts to share. After the meal, we will have a short (20 minutes or so) “circle style” worship time together in the Sanctuary, led by our Director of Ministry. After worship, we will learn about and practice a specific spiritual practice (example, prayer. meditation, lectio divina, chanting, labyrinth walking, and so on). There will then be time for sharing about our ongoing spiritual practices and what we are learning and experiencing in our lives.
All theological perspectives and religious viewpoints are welcome. You do not even have to like or use the word “spirit!” Come learn about and explore timeless practices to work towards peace, insight, and inspiration in a supportive environment.
RSVPs for the first meeting appreciated to email@example.com, but drop-ins welcome.
